2 Gallons of Coffee
by Solzhenitsyn inthat is how much coffee me and another elder went through as we camped out all night until 7 a.m. outside the home where suspected jw fornicators we're staying.
little did i know what a powerful contrast that would prove to be when as an elder i was faced with another case involving the allegation of severe child sexual abuse.
we disfellowshipped the couple based completely on circumstantial evidence of sexual wrongdoing because they simply "stayed the entire night".

On the other side of the scales - a very close friend who was an elder (with another elder) had to sit outside all night watching a house where a sister had a 'worldly' boyfriend. She stayed all night, and left early next day.
Result? Zilch, nada, nothing! The 2 elders were told to forget it because there was not enough "evidence" to proceed. Why not? The sister had family connections with prominent JW heavyweights in the area.
Some are more equal than others.

It sounds like your son can see through the cult's fear-monger tactics.
Fight "fire with fire" and share conversation-stoppers with your son - Bible teachings which reveal the cult's lies. You'll find plenty of ammunition here and at JWFACTS.
If your son begins questioning his JW relatives, they'll quickly shun him.
The org does not advocate JW's having any discussions which question their indoctrinations.

Deuteronomy 29:10-12 shouts it out, LOUD & CLEAR:
10 “ALL OF YOU are stationed today before Jehovah your God, the heads of your tribes, your
elders, your officers, every man of Israel,
11 your children, your wives, AND YOUR FOREIGN RESIDENT who is in the midst of your camp..
12 You are here IN ORDER TO ENTER INTO THE COVENANT OF JEHOVAH...
No need to go on is there?
Rahab and Ruth (foreigners) were accepted as full members of the nation of Israel.
If they hadn't been, the Messianic lineage would have been corrupted by non-Israelites.
As such, where is the type/anti-type application for alleged "non-anointed" J.W.'s being classed as "foreigners?"

Deuteronomy 29:10-15 blows the "slave's" lie out of the water.
I won't spoon-feed anyone with the verses - it's easy enough to read what's written in plain language.
So much for WT type/antitype dogma.

(John 1:15) (John bore witness about him, (Jesus)
(John 5:37) And the Father who sent me has himself borne witness about me.
(John 8:18) ...bears witness about myself, and the Father..bears witness about me.”
(John 15:26, 27) ....bear witness about me; and you, in turn, are to bear witness....
(Acts 1:8) ..and you will be witnesses of me (not Jehovah) in Jerusalem,.....and to the most distant part of the earth.”
(Acts 10:39) And we are witnesses of all the things he did.......
(Acts 10:43) To him (Jesus) all the prophets bear witness.... (not Jehovah)
(Acts 22:15) because you are to be a witness for him (Jesus, not Jehovah) to all men......
(2 Timothy 1:8) ....the witness about our Lord.......(not Jehovah)
(Revelation 1:9) ......bearing witness concerning Jesus. (not Jehovah)
(Revelation 12:17) ....have the work of bearing witness concerning Jesus. (not Jehovah)
(Revelation 17:6) ......and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. (not Jehovah)
(Revelation 19:10) ....witnessing concerning Jesus...the witness concerning Jesus...” (not Jehovah)
(Revelation 20:4) ...for the witness they gave about Jesus...... (not Jehovah)
I look forward to you sharing one scripture which says Christians were to witness for Jehovah. Just one.

Compounding their false teaching, they pervert Paul's words at Hebrews 13:15 regarding the name which was to PUBLICLY DECLARED: “Through him let us always offer to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of our lips that make public declaration to his name.”
Here are just 6 examples of the WTBT's repeated deception -
w14 9/15 p. 11 par. 20 Are You Convinced That You Have the Truth? Why? As dedicated Witnesses of Jehovah, we are convinced that we have the truth....
w14 11/15 p. 15 par. 12 - “Our lips should make public declaration to Jehovah’s holy name.”
w12 1/15 p. 23 par. 10 - “The public declaration of our hope....Paul called this essential Christian activity “a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of lips which make public declaration to [God’s] name.” (WT's insertion & brackets)
w11 3/15 p. 14 par. 9 - “...continue to rely heavily on Jehovah, who will grant you endurance as you “make public declaration to his name.”
w05 7/15 p. 29 par. 14 - Why should we allow a month to pass without witnessing about Jehovah..?
w03 5/1 pp. 28-29 - “a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of lips which make public declaration to [God’s] name.” (WT's insertion & brackets)
….but this Watchtower article really hammers home the “slave's” dogma:

If you are an active JW, take the time to compare what the org says with what all of the above scriptures really tell you, and then consider Paul's confirmatory words:
(Hebrews 4:14) "Therefore, since we have a great HIGH PRIEST who has passed through the heavens, JESUS the Son of God, let us hold on to our public declaration of HIM."
(Romans 10:9) For if you publicly declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and exercise faith in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved.
1st century Christians publicly declared the name of Jesus Christ – not “Jehovah.”
